Thanks a lot Cynanyx for nominating me for The Spirit Animal Award!
I’m always flattered and humbled whenever I get considered for these blogging awards. It’s really cool to me to know that people enjoy my work enough to spread the word about it and I am very grateful!
Spirit Animal Blog Award Acceptance Rules:
1.) Thank the blogger who nominated you, and link back to their page.
2.) Post the award picture on your blog.
3.) Write a short paragraph about yourself and what your blog means to you.
4.) If you could be any animal, what would it be?
5.) Pick and notify ten nominees.
My name is Eddie. I’m in my late twenties, I work in IT and I’m from Trinidad and Tobago. For the last ten years, I’ve had an ongoing love affair with The Sims and all incarnations of the game and it’s still going strong! Very few people in my everyday life share the same interest in Simming so to have a blog which allows me to be a part of this wide international community of people who have the same enthusiasm and love for the game and storytelling is quite amazing for me. I used to play the game having storylines involving the Sims I’m playing with going on in my head but then have no one to share these storylines and ideas with so I’d say starting this blog was the best decision I could have ever made for the sake of my own sanity! LOL.
My Spirit Animal would have to be the Domestic Cat.
Cats are interesting animals. They are very complex. One minute they’re playful and friendly and the next you’ll find them in a corner by themselves or staring intently out of the window and it makes you wonder if they’re feeling down or if they might be plotting something. It doesn’t even have to be either, they could be tired and not in the mood to play, but you’ll never know for sure because their expressions can be misleading – I get that a lot! Being an introvert, I’m not one to openly share my feelings with just anyone and cats are like that as well. The ones I’ve interacted with are slow to warm up to other animals or humans but once they feel like they can trust you then they love you for life and if they don’t there’s no redemption. I’m very much like that. I don’t make friends easily because I’m very selective about who I allow in my life and I’m also not afraid to drop you if the only thing you bring to the table is negativity. Domestic dogs are eager to love their human masters but cats make you work for their loyalty which is why I can relate to them.
There are so many awesome blogs that I follow so to narrow it down to just 10 was not an easy task so I decided to list 10 blogs that have not been nominated as yet (at least not to my knowledge).
